Well after numerous failed attempts to update the website software I contacted the web hosting support. They responded quickly admitting it was a known issue and pointed me to a workaround which worked a treat. Nice to see that not all help desks are a waste of space.
While dipping into the archive and wondering about what to post I began to glance at the snaps I have taken with my Sony NEX-5N. I bought this as a sort of carry anywhere snapshooter but it hardly gets used because like most people I find my iPhone more convenient. When I do use the Sony I don’t tend to bother with the settings so the results can be a bit hit and miss, or if you want to be generous, interesting.
The first set were shot at some crazy high ISO using just the light from a window at the other side of the room. The second are an outside mix of snaps taken in diffused and direct sunlight by, you guessed it, the canal. For the final wet set we move back indoors using natural light but this time the model is standing closer to the window so the exposure settings are a bit more civilised.
Since buying a Nikon D810 and making it my primary indoors camera I’ve made do with just the one 50mm lens. This in most cases has been adequate for the type of snaps I take but every now and again something in the short telephoto range would be more suitable. Because I’m not shooting as much nowadays I can’t really justify buying yet another lens when I have a number of old discarded ones lying around gathering dust. After a bit of research I found my expensive in it’s day Hasselblad 120mm could be mounted on a Nikon with the use of a cheap adaptor so off I went to eBay and bought myself one. It only allows the combination to function in manual mode but I will give it a go and let you know how I get on.
Except me that is. I haven’t exactly been nose to the grindstone when it comes to posting movie updates. I do have a couple at the initial editing stage but that’s as far as I’ve got. The stats show movies are the most popular posts so I suppose I should be making more of an effort, but then again, when have I ever bowed down to populist pressure.
