Because I’m a lazy cunt I leave my studio flash units permanently set-up and in position ready for use. While slumped in a chair in my living room looking at said lights it crossed my mind that maybe I should pack them away, after all, they had not been used or even been switched on in over 15 months, the last time I snapped a model. If I did this would I not be subconsciously accepting it was the end of the line for my photographic adventures, time to hang up my camera and join other pensioners on various forums to moan about things not being like they used to be?
To keep my hand in I’ve been running a few test setups on my Nikon D810. I’ve discovered how little I know about this camera and had to refer to the manual and watch a couple of YouTube videos. No surprise I suppose if you only use your camera for one subject with the same boring lighting setup.
