I have taken the plunge and sold all my old film cameras, well all bar one. It took much soul searching but common sense prevailed. I haven’t used any of them in anger for a fair few years and I was made a reasonable offer for the job lot “as seen” and untested. Selling them myself individually could have brought in far more but it would probably have taken me years with the added grief of dealing with an assortment of dumb questions.
The second half of this set has me baffled because I can’t remember taking them. I do remember snapping her in these clothes and I have recollections of a movie of me smacking her fine arse, but sticking things up her foo foo and bum, no. The lighting isn’t my normal green sofa set-up either and to cap it all the images are not numbered sequentially. May be I swopped between 2 memory cards during the shoot but I have no clue why. Just another event to add to my long list of things I can’t recall.
I’m not designed to operate in extremes of temperature so I’ve been spending a lot of this heatwave hiding in the coldest part of my house, the living room. Handy for summer but a bloody nightmare during winter. I’ve been trying to remember back to 1976, the last big heatwave/drought, but the only thing that readily comes to mind is Night Nurse winning the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham. My priorities were different back then.
With the longest day almost upon us I thought it was about time I picked up the camera again. Okay I have done a couple of test shoots with a muse but nothing really serious. My casting calls threw up nothing eye-catching so I booked a model I had already worked with from a couple of years back. The session got off to a slow start because I had difficulty remembering what camera settings to use and it came to an early end when I found I had lost interest in the subject matter. Yes, I’ve reached the age where naked young ladies don’t excite me anymore! I’m now sat here wondering whether I should sell my camera gear or wait to see if the numbness passes over.
