Some more ropey sets taken around the time I started to switch to digital from film. I couldn’t afford one of the early DSLR’s so I was using point and shoot digital cameras that by modern day standards were far worse than the camera in your phone. White balance indoors was a real pain in the arse, still is mind you, so I was forever fine tuning in an attempt to get consistent results. The models must have wondered what the hell was going on. One minute I was shooting with a professional film camera, the next snapping away with little digital cameras with huge flashguns mounted on top. I took almost 30,000 snaps with these compacts before I could justify my first DSLR and regretfully consign my film cameras to the dustbin of history.
I was slumped in front of the telly in my normal semi-conscious state when I had this notion that something important was on the horizon. I did a quick check, blood tests and hospital appointments due but surely I had missed something out of the ordinary. It took a while but it finally dawned on me that sometime towards the end of this month SNAPSHOTS of GIRLS will be 20 years old! I can’t believe it, how could I have dragged out for so long an average ability to take photos and build web sites. Over the years I’ve tended to go my own sweet way and ignored popular trends but I feel I should throw some breadcrumbs to you lot out there, my long suffering followers, and ask you what you would like to see on the site. Recently I’ve been shooting less and less adult content but is soft and mushy the right path to tread? Do you prefer harder content, or should I just continue with my usual mixture of a bit of everything?
I’ve never bothered making New Year’s resolutions and even if I did I would, like 99% of the people who do, fail to keep any of them for more than the first couple of weeks of January. The problem is I need something or someone to kickstart my year or I’m liable to end up dying in bed of boredom.
That pretty well summed up 2016 for me. Health problems looked as if they would dominate my year but after undergoing further hospital tests they thankfully turned out to be fairly minor. Just keep taking the tablets Big Ears. Hot chicks on the green sofa were few and far between. I’ve lost the urge, scarcely any models get my interest nowadays, too much in the way of body modifications and adornments for my tastes. Where have all the attractive natural looking models gone. What about 2017? Photographically I fear things are going to get a damn sight more depressing for me. I will have less money to squander and with fashion dictating the inked plastic look I think finding fresh talent is destined to become nigh impossible. C’est la vie.
My prospects may look bleak but I would wish all of you out there on planet internet a healthy happy 2017.
