So the age verification systems due to be enforced on all UK porn sites in April as part of the Digital Economy Act is to be delayed until later in the year so that further “public consultation” can take place. Good job. I’ve not heard anybody who has a clue how it is going to work and that includes the overpaid members of the quango charged with setting it up and policing it.
What a shit week. After a spending hiatus of many months I decided it was time to splash out on some new computer and photographic bits and bobs. What happens? Of the seven items ordered two have gone adrift in transit and one item is DOA. Ordering stuff online is usually easy but finding the procedure for reporting a problem not so. I’m now waiting to see if and when my money is returned and then starting the ordering process all over again because the missing bits are still required.
Winter is over. I have no meteorological evidence of this it’s just that I’m fed up of freezing my nuts off and have issued a dictum to that affect. Okay we can all now start to think of going outside and actually enjoying ourselves but no mention of fucking gardening please.
Booking a fresh face is stressful, you never know what’s going to turn up, if at all. There is the possibility that their portfolio shots are a fantasy concocted in Photoshop and that’s why I find selfies shot on a mobile to be a far better guide. Looking good in a photo is one thing but how well can they pose? In the good old days I had the patience to help a new model along but Mr Grumpy Old Big Ears is a bit on the snappy side and likely to upset a delicate flower. Thinking back to these 4 ladies I can just about recall 2 of them giving me a few minor headaches, I will leave it to you to guess which 2, but I still ended up with usable adult content so no big dramas.
While dipping into the archive and wondering about what to post I began to glance at the snaps I have taken with my Sony NEX-5N. I bought this as a sort of carry anywhere snapshooter but it hardly gets used because like most people I find my iPhone more convenient. When I do use the Sony I don’t tend to bother with the settings so the results can be a bit hit and miss, or if you want to be generous, interesting.
The first set were shot at some crazy high ISO using just the light from a window at the other side of the room. The second are an outside mix of snaps taken in diffused and direct sunlight by, you guessed it, the canal. For the final wet set we move back indoors using natural light but this time the model is standing closer to the window so the exposure settings are a bit more civilised.
