My photography has ground to a halt. Too hot, bad back, no money and most importantly no models. I’m thinking of posting a pointless sarcastic casting call to see if I have more success than with the more sensible informative ones I normally dish out. The problem with this is going to be not only letting down gently the totally unsuitable models but answering all the awkward questions I’m bound to get.
I’m not designed to operate in extremes of temperature so I’ve been spending a lot of this heatwave hiding in the coldest part of my house, the living room. Handy for summer but a bloody nightmare during winter. I’ve been trying to remember back to 1976, the last big heatwave/drought, but the only thing that readily comes to mind is Night Nurse winning the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham. My priorities were different back then.
I was meant to be doing a shoot today but because of traffic mayhem we decided to postpone. It would have only been my third model of the year and I was quite looking forward to it because I had come up with a couple of new ideas to try out which may have prevented me from getting bored like in my previous shoot a month ago. Oh well another day spent being busy doing nothing.
I’m still really struggling with the updates. Plenty of excuses. I’ve not been well, the weather, the football, no sleep, no models. I’m sure I could dream up a few more too. I’ve fallen back on 4 girls who provided me with more than enough usable content when visiting the Chateau de Vaughan and I’m sure it won’t be the last time they come to my rescue.
